Background
In AHAWA (“Hey You” in Amazigh), the singer’s disembodied shadow wanders through her city, Beirut. As she dances freely, an insatiable dark force tries to devour this symbol.
The only chance of defeating this “monster” is to probably confront it.
AHAWA was made in 2006 on a small laptop, while hiding from the Israeli raid on Lebanon. Sheltered in the mountains, I wanted to twist reality with a healthy dose of romanticism.
